Chetan is a private equity real estate investment executive with 30 years of experience in the U.S. and Asia, specializing in fund management, capital markets, portfolio and asset management, and investment strategy. Throughout his career, he has been involved in over $2.5 billion in real estate investment and development transactions.
Before joining Excelsior, Chetan co-founded Clearlake Management, a firm that manages funds focused on the multifamily sector. He also spent eight years in Asia, serving as CEO of IDFC Real Estate in Singapore and CEO of SUN-Apollo Real Estate, a $630 million affiliate of Apollo Management in Mumbai. Earlier in his career, he held the position of Chief Investment Officer and Head of Development for Transwestern in Houston and spent eight years as a Principal at JPMorgan Partners in New York. In both roles, he was responsible for overseeing major U.S. markets.
Chetan holds an MBA from Columbia University, a Master of Architecture in Urban Design from Washington University in St. Louis, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from CEPT University, Ahmedabad, India.
Steve has over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, specializing in debt, equity, and development. His expertise spans across multifamily, student housing, and retail properties.
Before joining Excelsior, Steve served as COO of HS Development and currently holds the role of CFO at New Regional Planning in Houston. He was previously a senior officer at Brightlane Corp. and Imperial Capital Bancorp, and also served as President of The Helm Companies, where he led the development of multifamily properties in Texas. During his time with the family enterprise, Steve secured over $60 million in FHA (221 D-4 & 223F) and conventional bank debt, as well as LIHTC, private, and mezzanine equity financing. He also supervised the management of a multifamily portfolio consisting of six properties with over 900 units.
Steve holds an MBA from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University and a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
Harold has over 40 years of experience in construction and development within the multifamily and student housing sectors. He has overseen and managed the construction and development of more than 40 apartment communities, comprising 30,000 units, across Texas, Arizona, Maryland, Colorado, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. The majority of his projects are located in the Houston Metro area and throughout Texas.
Harold's primary responsibilities include managing development budgets, project schedules, construction oversight, and on-site management. His experience also extends to student housing, age-restricted housing, and affordable tax credit housing. Previously, Harold served as President of HS Development Group, Head of Construction for Cornerbrook Development, and Partner and President of Construction for Allied Orion Group in Houston.
Marshall has worked in the commercial real estate industry for over 4 years. He was born and raised in Houston, TX and began his career with ARA Newmark assisting in underwriting and the brokerage of debt for multifamily acquisitions. He then joined Jones Lange Lasalle as a retail tenant advisor representing both tenants and landlords in retail leasing transactions, as well as the purchase and sale of retail buildings and commercial land. He has since joined Excelsior Partners to assist in the acquisition, financing, development, and management of multi-family assets. He received his Bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
