Chetan is a private equity real estate investment executive with 30 years of experience in US and Asia, in fund management, capital markets, portfolio and asset management and investment strategy. Over the span of his career, he has been involved in over $2.5 Billion in real estate investment and development transactions. Prior to Excelsior, he co-founded Clearlake Management which manages funds focused on multifamily sector. Previously, Chetan spent 8 years in Asia where he was CEO of IDFC Real Estate in Singapore and CEO of $630 mm SUN-Apollo Real Estate, an affiliate of Apollo Management in Mumbai. Prior to that he was Chief Investment Officer and Head of Development for Transwestern in Houston and 8-years as Principal of JPMorgan Partners in New York. In both roles he was responsible for all major markets in US. Chetan holds an MBA from Columbia University, M. Arch. in Urban Design from Washington University in St. Louis and a Batchelor’s Degree in Architecture from CEPT University, Ahmedabad, India.
Steve has over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate finance including debt, equity and development. His development and finance experience spans multifamily, student housing and retail properties. Prior Excelsior, Steve was COO of HS Development. He also serves as CFO of New Regional Planning in Houston. Previously, he was senior officer of Brightlane Corp., Imperial Capital Bancorp and President of The Helm Companies directing development of multifamily properties in Texas. During his tenure with the family enterprise, Stephen secured over $60 million of FHA (221 D-4 & 223F) and conventional bank debt as well as LIHTC, private and mezzanine equity financing and supervised the management of a multifamily portfolio of 6 properties comprising over 900 units. Steve holds an MBA from the Cox School of Business, Southern Methodist University and a BBA –Finance from the University of Texas at Austin
Harold has over 40 years of construction and development experience in multifamily and student housing sector. He has overseen and managed construction and development of over [40] apartment communities comprising [30,000] units in Texas, Arizona, Maryland, Colorado, Delaware, Pennsylvania and Delaware. Most of his projects are located in Houston Metro area and Texas. He has primary responsibility for development budgets, schedule, construction and overall on-site management. He has also developed and built student housing, age restricted housing, affordable tax credit housing. Previously, he was President of HS Development Group, head of construction for Cornerbrook Development, Partner and President of construction for Allied Orion Group in Houston.
Marshall has worked in the commercial real estate industry for over 4 years. He was born and raised in Houston, TX and began his career with ARA Newmark assisting in underwriting and the brokerage of debt for multifamily acquisitions. He then joined Jones Lange Lasalle as a retail tenant advisor representing both tenants and landlords in retail leasing transactions, as well as the purchase and sale of retail buildings and commercial land. He has since joined Excelsior Partners to assist in the acquisition, financing, development, and management of multi-family assets. He received his Bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
